Job Description

The AIMultimediaLab at the University Politehnica of Bucharest is inviting applications for PhD and Postdoctoral positions in the field of Artificial Intelligence. We are a dynamic and interdisciplinary research group focused on cutting-edge applications of AI, including computer vision, natural language processing, machine learning, and multimedia systems.

Responsibilities

Applicants will be expected to contribute to the lab's ongoing AI research activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting innovative research in areas such as deep learning, computer vision, or generative models.
  • Publishing findings in high-impact journals and conferences.
  • Collaborating with both academic and industry partners on funded research projects.
  • Supervising or mentoring junior researchers and contributing to lab seminars.
  • Participating in grant proposal writing and academic dissemination activities.

Requirements

We are looking for motivated candidates with a strong background in AI or related fields. Required qualifications include:

  • Master’s degree (for PhD applicants) or PhD degree (for Postdoc applicants) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related areas.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Strong programming skills in Python or similar languages.
  • Good publication record (especially for Postdoc positions).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
